Leland Bray is the President of Platino Real Estate. He is a retired California
Trial Lawyer with a background in Mining, Environmental and International Law. In 1989 he
formed Far West Development Company S. A. de C.V. The company acquired Real Properties and
constructed residential housing in the East Cape B.C.S. through 1994. Platino Real Estate
was formed shortly thereafter.
Jorge Eloy was born in Qaxaca, raised in Mexico City and has lived in Baja
California Sur for the past twenty years. He has played a major role in the development of
large scale projects. His involvement in these undertakings has encompassed all aspects of
the projects, from the inception, including the location of properties, arranging and
participating in the negotiations, the transfer of titles, consultations with Municipal
and State officials through the application and final approval of the Subdivision and the
General Development Plan. He has also provided valuable assistance to our organization
during the past seven years. Needless to say we particularly pleased to have Jorge Eloy on
our team and we look forward to many more years of his participation as our enterprise
continues to expand.
Our website developer, SameDayWebSite,
has as you can see done an outstanding job. Martha Chan and her partner Gina painstakingly
led us along the foggy trail that led to our Baja website (www.bajahomesales.com)
and they havent given up on us yet. During the Baja effort they were in danger of
becoming the Same Year Web Site. In fairness to all of the others who were involved at the
time it was the president who kicked up all of the dust and then complained because he
couldnt see. We depend on Martha and Ginas assistance and guidance which
reaches well beyond the mere assembly of a website and are thankful for their tenacity.
In the fall of 2003 Leland Bray began to explore the feasibility of opening an office
in Puerto Vallarta based upon his observation that the Real Estate market appeared to be
experiencing an increase in demand for properties, over and above the steady but more
moderate increases of the preceding years. His interest in Puerto was a culmination of his
many years of involvement in Real Estate Ventures in Mexico coupled with the magnetic
attraction of Puerto Vallarta which grew stronger with increasingly frequent visits. By
February of 2004 he and his wife Arline had taken up residence in an old house on the
River Caule. A few months later he became an Associate Broker in the office of Zamilpa
Realtors and proceeded to a set up a marketing program which would be an outgrowth of the
existing Platinum Shores Resort Properties Network of Affiliates in Baja, the US and
Canada, to promote Puerto Vallarta as a place to live and do business. On September 1st
Zamilpa Realtors retained Platinum Shores Resort to provide marketing assistance for them
internationally.
Zamilpa Realtors was established by Alex Zamilpa in July of 2000. Alex
was born and raised in Mexico City. He attended University there and graduated in1989 with
a degree in Hotel Management. He and his family re-located in Puerto Vallarta soon
thereafter and he began working as a front desk clerk and was promoted to Night Manager of
the Fiesta Americana Hotel. In1995 he entered the Real Estate field as a Salesman and in
2000 he opened Zamilpa Realtors and has excelled in Sales and Rentals. His success is due
in large part to his Administrative acumen. His warm personality enables him to transmit
his eagerness to assist his clients in reaching their goal in renting, selling or
purchasing property to the Sales and Office Staff. The success of the business is also
evidenced by the large percentage of clients, including local builders and investors who
continue to patronize the office.
Adrain Sosa Lar Administrative Assistant to Leland Bray has a command of English
that is equal to most well spoken Anglos. He has more than a basic knowledge of Real
Estate transactions and possesses good computer skills. He is knowledgeable of all aspects
of our operation and is able to answer most questions that may arise.
Miguel Corona is our Technical Specialist, a whiz kid, 22 years old and very
adept in computer matters as we have all come to expect of the youngsters in that field.
He has however, not only all of the attributes of a computer guru but his general
knowledge is broad and deep and he is wise beyond his years.
The confidence of Platinum Shores that they will enjoy ongoing success is based in
large part by the quality of the people we have been fortunate enough to attract and we
are going to work very hard to keep them with us.
